Ch. Manit's Serena Pa'La Caverna

Ch. Manit's Serena Pa'La Caverna. My thanks to Kim Griffin for this photo.

My beautiful Serena... what more can I say about her when it is all said in these pictures. She is first and foremost VERY feminine and elegant... so appealing to the eye, so balanced. She is compact, with great sholders, ribcage, head, neck, and a harsh, black coat. Serena moves with great reach and powerful push, and a wonderful side gait, always holding her topline. She is a sweet girl, always trying to get everybody's attention.

This photo was taken at Montgomery County KC 2010, when Serena was 7-months-old. She showed like a million bucks that day, and came in second to her sister Celina in her sweepstakes class. At Morris & Essex that same weekend (remember, 7-months-old), she was second in the Open Black/Black & Silver Class under judge Richard Powell. Serena is owned by Mr Michael Cuningham and I am her co-owner.

This picture shows Serena winning her first major under Judge Mrs. Marjorie Underwood. Serena is 15-months-old in this picture, so imagine how she'll look at three years of age!

Serena goes Best of Opposite Sex at Westminster Kennel Club show 2012!

Serena is now at a different moment of her life. She did great as a show dog, and now comes the real challenge... Will she be a great producer? And in this case, there is a double challenge for me because Serena has been bred to a young dog of mine (Manit's Black Asteroid, AKA "Sonic") who has not had the chance to be out in the rings but who is a very, VERY handsome boy. Sonic is very compact, with a smooth transition... neck-shoulder-back. He has a beautiful headpiece, small dark eyes, great harsh black coat, not to mention that he is a very loving dog. Sonic is a B/S carrier, so hopefully we will have both black and black-and-silver puppies. I am soooo excited with this breeding, because both have the same type which I LOVE!!!! Sonic will be out in 2013 to earn his conformation title and, hopefully, I'll have some nice pictures then. The pedigree for this litter is very special; it has some very important dogs to me, like Ch. Dreams Forever Lone Star, Bell's full sister and one of the first dogs that I finished here in the States, and she is from a breeding in which I had a great deal to say. Then there is Star's son, Ch. Tex Star Black Cosmic Astro, another breeding that I asked for, and from which I got my wonderful and dear Astro, a son of Wards Creek's Rocket Man (my favorite black male). Also there is Sonic's mother Cocol, whom I should have finished, a lovely girl just like her loving dam Ruedesheim's Farfallina (BIS in Venezuela and an International CH)... both of these bitches being very nice type and well put-together schnauzers. In this pedigree is also a bitch that I loved the first time I saw her winning at Montgomery... Ch. Blythewood Special Blend... and she is the reason why I bred Hope to her half-brother so I could double-up on their dam (Ch Blythewood Special Blend). A must to mention in this pedigree are Ch. Regency's Twist of Fate (Twister) and Ch. Repitition's Cornerstone.
